APSCo, Osborne Clarke and SITEFORUM show thought leadership in Recruitment Industry

Social Recruitment, Social Media Policy
“The traditional system of names and numbers on a database is dead . Candidates want to have a relationship with us and we want to ensure they are happy” Adam Gibson, OdgersBerndtson

Today, the long awaited White Paper on "Social Media Policy for Business" was published by the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo), Osborne Clarke (leading international law firm) and SITEFORUM leaders in Social Business technology.

Working together the aim is to alert the Recruitment industry to some of the pitfalls in using mass social media platforms, where, in reality, the data is not yours, but owned by the third-party, whether Facebook, LinkedIN, Google etc.

There are serious issues for Brand Management and IP-protection and already legal action has resulted in a number of cases to try and protect the rights of the employee or the employer.

The White Paper highlights a number of areas which need to be considered in any social media policy and describes how Recruitment companies can secure themselves against the risks of the mass market.
