SITEFORUM, a leader in social community software, today announced that executive recruitment search consultancy, Odgers Berndston, has selected the company to add a disaster communications function to its existing internal business platform.
Odgers Berndston, which has over 50 offices globally, chose to add the crisis management function to its existing platform hosted by SITEFORUM which manages the company’s internal reporting and intranet.
Odgers Berndston relies upon SITEFORUM’s platform for its Management Information System (MIS) to streamline internal communications in the UK, China, Hong Kong and the Middle East. The software automatically delivers bespoke internal reports of a high quality from every sector of the company in real time every 24 hours, eradicating the need for manual processing and collating across departments.
In addition to the existing platform, the two companies recently began working together to develop an internal disaster communications function. The new function, designed as a proactive solution, will send an SMS message to all employees in the event of an emergency providing updates and advice on where to find further information.
Adam Gibson, CIO Odgers Berndston, comments: "We initially approached a number of vendors but found that SITEFORUM offered the most effective platform which allowed us to automate our internal communications as much as possible whilst maintaining accuracy, and increasing efficiency." The intranet, which is hosted on SITEFORUM’s platform, provides one point of reference storing information for employees across the company. Gibson comments, "The intranet humanises the company’s internal interface and allows a way for our employees to socialise using a private wiki."
Bob Pike, COO SITEFORUM says, "We are committed to keeping our world-wide clients equipped with all the tools they need to increase their revenues and cut costs. These new features have a low support footprint, further extending Odgers Berndston’s ability to optimise their internal communications while significantly improving their efficiency."
Odgers Berndston is keen to build on the success of the MIS internal network and develop social communities across all working regions. The companies are currently working on future plans geared towards developing a competitive edge and improving interactions with both clients and candidates.
