June 2010 – Following the launch of its Virtual Events module, social community specialist SITEFORUM is offering its clients and partners the opportunity to run their own virtual events, from trade shows to partner days, customer presentations and internal product launches.

The application integrates seamlessly into the ‘SITEFORUM Community Platform’, allowing enterprises, publishers and event organisers to develop and launch Virtual Events easily and within hours drive a high level of interaction with an online audience, at a fraction of the expense and logistical drain associated with a live event.

The Virtual Events module consists of virtual rooms such as a lobby, exhibitor halls, auditoriums and booths. Visitors meet in a virtual lobby, communicating in real-time, while the exhibitor halls give an overview of exhibiting companies. Auditoriums provide an environment for the delivery of webcasts, keynotes and further presentations, while fully branded exhibitor booths can be hosted on the event platform and dragged and dropped onto the exhibitor’s website.


The first Events organisers on the SITEFORUM platform were HR.com, the largest online community for human resources professionals, who now run hundreds of online events each year. Other clients have followed suit including Green Expo (www.greenexpo365.com), which is a permanent virtual event and tradeshow, and TETRA World Congress Online (virtual.tetraworldcongress.com), which is a virtual event running alongside a conference run by IIR Telecoms.
