| Profile: | The international University of Cooperative Edication (IBA) which is part of the F+U Group, has a study centre in Erfurt. Here, they offer courses and education models for high-school graduates. In Germany they have nine study centres with a total of around 1400 enrolled students. This new study model is based on traditional teaching methods and a close relationship with Thuringian companies; it allows students to obtain a bachelor of arts in three years. Weekly, it alternates between theory and practice, with each week containing two days of academic studies at the IBA and three days of work experience. Many middle-size companies prefer this model, explaining that having students work on site is highly beneficial to all involved. This combination of theory and practise offers optimal career opportunities and an high-class alternative to traditional study methods. Students becomve actively incaged in the firm's daily activities from early on and have manu opportunities to ensure employment at a renowned cooperation partner of the Thuringian economy. |
