The Master Design Template is the frame of the portal, which defines the positions of the single elements and areas. Design Modules are placeholders with which you call up certain areas and define what the single functions should be able to do.

Note: To work in this section it is absolutely necessary that you have good HMTL skills.

1. Master Design Templates

Log in as "Designer" or "Portal Master."
  1. Click the button Portal Manager to get to the administrative area.
  2. Then click Tools & Administration > Design & Layout.
  3. In the navigation on the left, below Master Design & Design Module, click Master Design-Templates.
All available Master Designs are listed:
  • Selection The graphic indicates the sectioning of the templates. The red border shows the template in use.
  • Visibility Shows for which users the template is visible.
  • Name (Number)/Description Shows name, ID and description of the template.
  • Edit By clicking the icon you get to the editing mode.
  • Delete By clicking the icon you can delete the template.

1.1 Create new template

  1. Click the tab Create new template.
  2. In the field Code HTML code, which describes the template, is already given.
    Edit the code as desired.
  3. In the area Use of placeholders below the code click the small question mark on the right, to view all placeholders which can be used in the template.
    Click the question mark again to close this area.
  4. In the area Use of special characters below the code click the small question mark on the right, to view all special characters.
    Click the question mark again to close this area.
  5. Enter in the field Layout name (english) an english name.
  6. Enter in the field Layout name (german) a german name.
  7. Enter in the field description (english) an english description.
  8. Enter in the field description (german) a german description.
  9. Click the button Save when ready.
Note: By clicking the link Here you can make a backup of the current Master Design below the listing you can create a backup of the current template, what we recommend.

1.2 Edit template

  1. Choose in the overview the template you want to edit.
  2. Click the icon Edit.
  3. Edit the template as desired, q.v. 1.1 Create new template.
  4. Click the button Save when ready.

1.3 Delete template

  1. Choose in the overview the template you want to delete.
  2. Click the icon Delete.
  3. Confirm the erasing procedure by clicking the button OK.
Note: The template in use cannot be deleted.
